1927年生，49年浙江大學(xué)化學(xué)系畢業(yè)，畢業(yè)后留校在化學(xué)任教。 52年調(diào)至復(fù)旦大學(xué)化學(xué)系 55年至94年在蘭州大學(xué)化學(xué)系任教 94年4月調(diào)回浙江大學(xué)化學(xué)系 79年晉升為教授 81年批準(zhǔn)為我國首批博士生導(dǎo)師 91年當(dāng)選為中國科學(xué)院院士兼任中國化學(xué)會常務(wù)理事，國家教委科技委員會成員，《化學(xué)學(xué)報》、《高等學(xué)校化學(xué)學(xué)報》等刊物編委。
