The State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Materials Synthesis and Processing is a state key Laboratory in the area of advanced materials in china,which was funded by the National Planning Commission and established in Wuhan University of Technology in 1987.The State Key Laboratory is under the administration of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. The Laboratory has now 18000M2 of building floorage, and is equipped with a great deal of advanced equipment for materials synthesis and processing and for the analysis of microstructure, properties evaluation and characterization of materials. The total value of the equipment is about ￥89,000,000（about U.S $11,000,000）.
