China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry ( CRIDCI) specialise in researches and applications in Surfactants & Detergents industry. It can be traced back to the state industry research institute in ShangHai before the liberation of China. Though several relocations and changes had happened; it moved to Beijing in 1959,renamed and recombined in 1963,and finally moved to TaiYuan in 1969. In 1995,with approval of government, Light Industry ministry Institute of daily chemical industry was renamed as China Research Inststitute of daily chemical Industry, which was also confirmed by national industry and business bureau , in july, 2001.
CRIDCI now own a unity of authoritative experts and a panel of inspirative professionals.The total number of employess reach 480. Among them,there are 296 researchers and technicians, including one Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), two national middle-aged and youth experts with outstanding contribution , two sectional middle-aged and youth experts with outstanding contribution, 13 members with governmental distinguishing allowance. Since 1992, RIDCI has been awarded many sectional, provincial and civic-advanced collectivity and enlightened unit titles.
RIDCI now posses four engineering research departments, pilof base, industrialization center, Key Laboratories, commercial department and other corresponding departments.Besides national Engineering Research Center of Surfactant, National Quality-Supervising and Checking Center of Washing product, National Standardization Organization of Surfactants & Detergents, China Information Center of Daily Chemical Industry (CICDCI), Technology Committee of China Detergents Industry Association and Surfactants Professional Committee of China Detergents Industry Association are all set up in RIDCI. Additionally, RIDCI also has three economic entities, namely Finechem Co., Fu Ju Co. Rui De Shi Co. RIDCI,-respectively
RIDCI has an independent program of master degree and collaborates with some universities including Wu Han University, Shan Dong University, Shan Xi University, Tai Yuan University of Science and Technology in cultivating Ph.D candidates. Now it has 15 registered Ph. D. students and 32 M. Sc. Students, It is qualified to design the second rank designing and serve the second furthemore rank engineering consultation and designing right of the first and second kind pressure vessel, it is also one of one hundred units that firstly have the rights of import and export.
National Engineering Research Center of Surfactant supporting on the RIDCI, based on the basis of exoteric lab, building block-commonness key technology and pilot research equipment combines with the technics and engineering research, national washing product testing center, standardization center and information center,and now has more than 30 suits of large-scale instruments and a series of equipments of up-scale testing and pilot test. At present, It has the base of scientific research that has the ability of advanced lab, engineering research and system integration, and bases of technology exploiting and engineering research.
