BPDI has all occupational qualification certificates issued by Chinese government, including: Class A engineering design qualification in chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, design qualification of pressure vessels covering Class I, II and III and the design qualification of GB and GC pressure pipelines. Besides, BPDI has its ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance system certified. BPDI’s technical personnel cover all disciplines that are necessary for engineering consultation, engineering design, project-contracting and project management. BPDI has been very active in providing technical services for project consultation, project cost estimation, engineering design, project-contracting, project management, project supervision, etc. in such fields as petrochemical industry, chemical industry, rubber, building, building materials, light industry, textile, pharmaceuticals, environmental protection and so on. |

Beijing Petrochemical Design Institute (BPDI) was founded in 1979, which is the first privately invested engineering company in China as well as the largest privately invested petrochemical engineering company nationwide.
BPDI is a member of China Petrochemical Exploration & Design Association, has a vice-managing director of Chemical Engineering Committee of China Association of Project Construction Standardization and is a consultant for the compilation of《Code for EPC Management on Construction Projects》issued by China Exploration & Design Association.
Nowadays, BPDI has 410 employees (approx.). The number of BPDI’s personnel will exceed 800 by the end of 2006 and will reach to 1,200 engineers in the year 2008.
BPDI has successively completed project design, project-contracting and project management for 500 projects (approx.). Additionally, BPDI has a number of technical know-hows of its own. Besides, BPDI has been a chief editor and/or sub-editor in compiling lots of national, industrial and local codes & standards and quotas for project construction.
BPDI has introduced much managerial experience from prominent engineering companies abroad and invested a large amount of funds for setting up various fundamental facilities so that it can be operated in line with international engineering companies. BPDI has recruited a team composed of managerial and engineering talents having rich experience in the construction of large-scale refineries, chemical plants, etc. Furthermore, BPDI has set up a managerial system that can be incorporated with international practice, thus having laid a firm foundation for making BPDI an engineering company at an accelerated speed in line with international practice.
BPDI has been actively developing cooperation with foreign engineering companies. In the light of his competitive human resources and costs, BPDI has completed process package design, basic design, detailed design, project management as well as project EPC jointly with foreign engineering companies and patent licensors and has been exploiting domestic & international markets together with such foreign engineering companies and patent licensors during cooperation.
BPDI welcomes worldwide patent licensors, engineering companies, advanced equipment manufacturers and project owners into China for investigation and cooperation!
