Different DCA and their diamines converted with DCA, together with caprolactam, can be copolymerized to produce excellent hot-melt adhesives.
Synthesizing technology of copolyamides (nylon6/610/613 and nylon6/1010/613 Copolyamides) also has been developed by FRIPP. This kind of copolyamides is mainly used for hot-melt adhesive for costume manufacturing. During the research, software was applied to determine composition of copolyamides, and a mathematic model between composition and properties of hot melt adhesive was established. This model can be used to determine composition of product with different properties according to the demand of user. This technology has been granted Chinese patent in 1998. In FRIPP, a pilot-plant was established to produce polyamide hot-melt adhesives with different range of melting point. The main properties of products are listed in the table 3.
