SO2 of refinery mainly comes from furnace flue gas of power plant, FCC/RFCC regenerator flue gas and tail gas from Claus sulfur recovery unit.
FRIPP has studied sulfur-removing unit such as 90,000m3/h spray column magnesium method for flue gas desulfurization, seawater washing for flue gas desulfurization, 12,000m3/h Venturi—water membrane for dust removing and desulfurization. All these studies have gotten satisfactory results.
